well, it was supposed that to teach Basic students was going to be easier than to teach advanced ones, but let me tell you that there were some disadvantages for me. The first one was that I didn´t get the copy of the unit because the teacher did not give it to me. I mean, he didn´t have the book so that I could get the copy of the unit. He just asked me for the e-mail, so that he was going to send me what to teach at night. He did it, but the problem was that he sent it almost at 8 p.m., so time was not enough for me to get prepared with the class.
The topic was easy, but even though it was easy, I was to study so that I could accomplish what I was required to, but anyways I hope to get what I have to teach on time next time.
I have to be honest. I did realize the mistakes I made when pronouncing some words, so they were told in the feedback sesion. As I said before, I thought this was going to be easier but it was not, but I hope to do better next class.

ResponderEliminarI don`t know what I would have done if that happened to me. Today I observed his class and I told him in advanced that I don`t want him to do that to me. I don`t know if I was right or wrong, but anyway...
Alex I pretty sure you did well, but according to your levels of quality you are not satisfied. As we all already know you like perfection.

Well, for someone of your vast experience, clearly it was supposed to be easier, admirably, you managed to do well, despite nor having as much time as you wish, congrats!
ResponderEliminarIt seems to be that the levels that are supposed to be easier to teach are giving us more complications. As you Alex, I faced many difficulties when teaching basic level; in some cases because of my tutor teacher’s attitude, the students’ behavior, etc. but remember, we have to know how to handle those situations in order to make progress in our next teaching. Better luck next time Alex!

ResponderEliminarI am sure you are learning a lot from this experience. I hope it does not happen again that the teacher gives you the material too late. I hope he took that into account when assigning the grade.

ResponderEliminarWHAT YOU MENTIONED ABOUT TEACHING BASIC GROUPS IS TRUE ALEX BECAUSE WE CAN FIND MANY DISADVENTAGES WITH LOWER GROUPS: IT IS DIFFICULT FOR SOME OF THEM TO GET WHAT YOU ARE TRYING TO SAY, THEY DO NOT FIND THE WORDS TO SAY THEIR IDEAS, ETC.
